Terms and conditions for the sale of tickets for events organised by Chalke Valley History Festivals Limited (CVHF or the Company. Registered number: 8290260).

By placing an order for tickets all purchasers warrant that they have read and accepted these terms and conditions and the Privacy Notice.

1. Programme changes

CVHF reserves the right to change the programme and speakers at the Chalke Valley History Festival (the Festival) if circumstances dictate.

2. Tickets and admission

Ticket orders will be processed in the order they are received and are subject to availability. Tickets are subject to VAT and the prices indicated on the website are inclusive of VAT. CVHF reserves the right to refuse admission to the Festival. Under no circumstances are tickets to be photocopied or reproduced in any way. Tickets are not transferable. Any tickets that are transferred or sold for commercial gain will be voided and the holder refused entry to or ejected from the venues. It is your responsibility to check your tickets; mistakes cannot always be rectified.

3. Prohibition on use of recording equipment

Under no circumstances are audio recorders, video recorders, mobile phones, cameras or other recording devices to be used in the venues of the Festival. They may be seized by the Company’s representatives if used in a venue.

4. Cancellation policy

In the unlikely event that an event at the Festival is cancelled, a ticket holder will be offered the opportunity to attend an alternative event of an equivalent value of the ticket originally purchased, subject to availability. If the ticket holder does not accept the offer of a ticket at an alternative event or if there is no availability at such alternative events at the Festival, CVHF will provide a full refund in accordance with the refund policy set out below.

5. Refund policy

No refunds can be given once a ticket has been bought.  CVHF will endeavour to exchange a ticket for another of equivalent value subject to availablity.

6. Delivery of tickets

Delivery of tickets purchased for events at the Festival will be either by post to the address supplied by the purchaser during the online booking procedure or by collection in person at the ticket office at the Festival. The Company accepts no liability for any tickets which are sent to the address supplied by the purchaser but which are not received. Replacement for lost tickets will not be posted to the purchaser but will be available for collection at the Festival provided that the Company is notified via the ticket office by telephone or in writing in advance of the loss of the tickets and suitable identification is provided at the ticket office.

5. Liability and Governing Law

The Company shall have no further liability beyond the face value of the ticket purchased. The Company shall not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to an event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms and conditions seeks to exclude any liability of the Company for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or other type of liability which cannot by law be excluded or limited.

All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law and any disputes arising out of any transaction with The Company are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
