Glamping includes a weekend entrance ticket to the festival.
Standard Camping requires entrance or talk tickets to be purchased separately.

Camping and Glamping

In a lush, green field, nestling below the ancient chalk downs, and just a short walk from the main festival site, is the History Festival camp site. It is the perfect place from which to enjoy all the many features of the festival.

Check-in between 11am & 6pm.

Basic facilities – loos and piping hot showers. Glampers have their own separate loos and shower facilities.

Water available from bowser so drinking water needs to be brought.

Broad Chalke Village Shop is walking distance, selling a range of essentials. There is a communal BBQ area. Walking distance of Queens Head Pub – 1 Mile.


  • VWs, Motor homes and tents welcome.
  • Level grass pitches on 6 acre site – with easy walking distance to the main festival arena.
  • Safe and secure site with 24 hour security.
  • Shower facilities and toilets provided. Plenty of hot showers & water.
  • Small gas BBQs allowed (only).
  • No fires, sorry.
  • Sorry no dogs, this is a working organic sheep farm.
  • Plenty of food and drink options at the main festival site. Fully licensed bar.
  • Walking distance of Queens Head Pub & village shop – 1 Mile
  • Public transport to site – train to Salisbury & regular bus service.
  • Easy to get to by road, taxi or bus.

Sorry, but due to Coronavirus this year's festival has been cancelled. Anybody who has pre-paid camping will get a full refund within 14 days.
