Camping

In a lush, green field, nestling below the ancient chalk downs, and just a short ten-minute walk from the main festival site, is the History Festival camp site. It is the perfect place from which to enjoy all the many features of the festival.

  • VWs, Motor homes and tents welcome.
  • Level grass pitches on 6 acre site – with easy walking distance to the main festival arena.
  • Safe and secure site with 24 hour security.
  • Shower facilities and toilets provided. Plenty of hot showers & water.
  • Small gas BBQs allowed (only).
  • No fires, sorry.
  • Sorry no dogs, this is a working organic sheep farm.
  • Plenty of food and drink options at the main festival site. Fully licensed bar.
  • Daily shop deliveries of basic food stuffs. Can be pre-ordered.
  • Walking distance of Queens Head Pub – 1 Mile
  • Daily bookings taken during the week.
  • Whole weekend bookings only for Friday and Saturday night.
  • Public transport to site – train to Salisbury & regular bus service.
  • Easy to get to by road, taxi or bus.

Standard pitches 7m x 5m: £21 per adult per night; £11 per night 5-15 year-olds; free for under-5s. Check-in between 11am & 6pm.

Basic facilities – loos and piping hot showers. Water available from bowser so drinking water needs to be brought.

Broad Chalke Village Shop will deliver provisions each morning: milk, bread, pastries etc. There is a communal BBQ area. Walking distance of Queens Head Pub – 1 Mile.
